At least i'm not in a minority - any other club, home or (preferably) abroad, and i would be disappointed but thank him on his way out for some great service.

I really hope that without Emery's coaching, and the great support players he had around him, he resorts to the fat lazy git he was when he left leicester and started for us.

Question?  Would we be happy spending that on a 30year old and paying him £200k per week for 5 years? We know he can be great but that is financial madness*

*This is why the entitled wankers who "support" them think they still are a big club - they are just a magnet for greedy players and agents who know they pay stupid amounts of money with impunity.

Lets hope it not long they are calling into Goldstein and co moaning that he is a flop they are now stuck with

We did that for Given.

Most footballers aspire to have a career. Then they aspire to play at the highest level they can. Then they aspire to play for the biggest most famous clubs (and sometimes for the biggest and best managers).

There's a handful that pretty much every footballer would want to play for in their career.

Real Madrid
Barcelona
Bayern Munich
Liverpool
Man Utd.

You could potentially add in Juventus and Milan but the football is a bit shit in Italy these days.

If you're offered a massive, lucrative and lengthy contract by one of them you'd be daft not to take it.

I think it's only Real Madrid and Barcelona, to be honest.  Any player at the other three clubs in your list would surely jump at the chance to play for either.

We did that when Given was 35 I think.
