Why do you need booking history? Aren’t they on general sale? And sounds bonkers for everyone in the party to need it.

No wonder they haven’t shifted them all with that and it being clear as mud that they’re selling tickets in those sections.

Having never previously needed to buy a ticket for someone without a booking history, I asked a question on here a couple of seasons ago when I wanted one for my daughter in law and it was confirmed that it was necessary.
It only needed a call to the ticket office and a very efficient lady created an account there and then, (I had all of the required details), and sold me a ticket at the same time.

Seriously though, I had the same issue with buying a ticket for my mate in the Holte and/or Trinity for the Leeds game. He's not a Villa fan so just used my uncle's history instead. Linking the two accounts was a bit finicky as well so it all seemed a bit of a faff.

My son booked a couple for him and his nipper over the phone this morning. He was told that they restricted online bookings because of proximity to away fans to try to try to stop people buying them just to sell on. They’re also not selling the first couple of rows.

15 minutes on the phone to the ticket office. Countless 'pink' announcements. Gave up in the end. I am not that desperate to hand over £100. Easier to stay at home and watch TV.

I think half the problem is the difficult process you have to go through to actually buy tickets, as Telford mentions above. Every time I've tried to get extra it's fiendishly difficult.
