Reports that Everton came in late last night for Dendoncker. Too late for us to find a replacement.

Pleased about that.
I don’t think we should even consider letting him go at the moment.
He’s the sort of quality squad member you want.
On the bench you think ‘Great player to bring on’
Makes the starting 11, and there’s no real problem either

We have four senior central midfielders in Emery's system, and letting one go at the last minute would have been weird.

It's good that we're managing our FFP position in such a way that we don't feel a need to sell back-up players when someone comes in for them. The likes of Wolves and Everton are a warning to everybody else.

Good. They can do one.

Donk is solid. He will get games and be useful. Lots of experience. Would cost us more to replace him.

Plus he seems a decent sort, it wouldn't have been fair to make him go to Everton.

Maddison is a bell end.

Typical spurs signing. They’ve spent the last thirty years desperately trying to sign the new Glen Hoddle.
I really like Maddison, an excellent player and a good character.  I'd have loved to sign him.

He's a great player. Comes across as a bit of a dick at times on the pitch, but when interviewed he always sounds quite intelligent and thoughtful.

He's quality, a level above Buendia. Not sure why he's a bell.

I think it's just because he's from Coventry

Fair enough.

I should clarify, I have no opinion on people from Coventry. It's just what I've seen said about him before he signed for Spurs.

I don't know whether he's said something in the past, or just enjoyed scoring against us a little bit too much but it's thought that because he's an ex-Coventry lad that he's anti-Villa like many of them from around there tend to be.

Yeah I agree with this and I'm not sure why he is so disliked, he comes across a decent bloke unless I have missed something. He looks like a bell but I don't think he is one.

yeah, they're another lot that like to hate Villa hoping we'll give a toss back - which we don't. See Wolves.

I don't really pay too much heed to those rivalry stuff, they're everywhere in football. Deeney seems to be a decent bloke now after early tribulations, his enjoyment scoring against us doesn't change that, not for me anyway.
