My comment was about perceived effort and constant media storm around him, doesn't seem to be Emery's style to have potential players who could upset the group.

I could be totally wrong of course

Emery came in and took a team where at least half the individuals in it had been written off after long periods of very poor form. Watkins, Mings, McGinn, Cash etc. I therefore think the only attribute that would rule a player out from Emery's system would be effort, or lack of it.

Indeed. Or an unwillingness to adapt.

If there was an opportunity to take Felix for the season and lose Coutinho to say Saudi I would very much be on board

Judging players on technical ability alone means that Barkley and Coutinho should both have been brilliant for us.

I’m the 1st to admit the technical ability thing for me, is a major weakness in my assessment of players

As others have said, overall effectiveness is maybe where we should be looking, but for me if a player is not comfortable on the ball and struggles to control and keep position I tend to think they have a low ceiling for improvement

So players Hause. Konsa, Watkins, who aren’t particularly gifted with technical ability frustrate me more than Coutinho, Dougie Buendia Pau Torres

I know this analysis is fraught with polarising players far too much but it’s just the way I am I just can’t help it

I think that would make a massive difference.

At the risk of setting off another chain of awful puns, reports in Spain linking us with Pubill again today. Other teams in Spain are interested but Levante apparently in a situation where they need to bring in some cash, and they know we'd win a bidding war. They've rejected an offer of €5mil from someone already, and are holding out for at least €6mil, but want a significant sell on clause included.

Hopefully we’ll bide our time and not get in a flaps about it.

I love the way morons on social media use the word BREAKING in a desperate attempt to assign drama to their invariably dull stories.

🚨 BREAKING: Franck Kessie opens the door for an exit from Barcelona for the first time. He is willing to leave.

The relationship between Kessi and Xavi is now at its lowest point.

Barça want €20m-€25m and could also accept a loan with buy obligation. Kessie's preference is a move to England and he won't lack offers.

Good player, but do we need him?
