Suggestion that it's Diaby and Doku we're after, rather than either or.

Does that mean we're not going after Brennan Johnson any more?

We should withdraw our offer.  If he is waiting for more money to play in a nothing league he isn't the player we need!

NB my comment was in response to the quote that Diaby had higher personal terms from SA and was waiting for them to agree terms with the club.

We're not going for a striker then?

I don't know I'm asking. Haven't seen any links or speculation.

Hopefully, Unai has seen something he likes in training and Cam Archer will be unleashed this season.

The issue with Johnson might be the price...

As an unwilling seller, Forest would probably want €50m+.

I think Forest need to balance the books?

If that Max Lee tweet is true then Diaby is off to Saudi.

I still can’t not fathom that the move for Diaby is sanctioned by the Saudi Investment Fund blocking us (as a rival to Newcastle) and therefore trying to monopolise the market.

I just can’t not think that there’s some ulterior motive on this.

For what it’s worth, I think he’ll go to Saudi. Money, sadly, speaks. And the Saudi’s love throwing money at situations.

You can't blame him altogether for not dismissing it out of hand. If he still chooses to come to us he will have made the right decision in the end and i'd welcome him. If he does end up going there then fuck him, it'll just be about the money.

It’s just a few posts above, but here you go anyway:

Aston Villa have now reached an agreement in principle with Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of Moussa Diaby. Total fee understood to be around €50 million. Personal terms have already been agreed. 🟣#AVFC

Al-Nassr’s latest contract offer is a massive increase compared to the one offered by Aston Villa therefore Diaby will wait for Al-Nassr to agree a fee then make his decision. #Transfers

It was posted by VillaTim further up the chat mate. We’ve agreed a fee with Leverkuesen and personal terms agreed also. Saudi personal terms are absolutely huge apparently and player is waiting for them to agree a fee with Leverkuesen before making decision. If he wanted to be here he would be, basically.

Seems like Leverkusen will accept both bids then let the player decide which could be why it's taking a while. Imagine we'll know by end of the day.

Fucking hope so anyway.
