I'm sorry, but that's a load of naive nonsense.

It's self evidently my opinion, I alluded to that myself. What you've said is your opinion and I wouldn't dream of calling it nonsense because that would be just plain rude.

I agree with Mike.

Doctors, nurses, teachers, firefighters, carers, cleaners and marketing copywriters are the real heroes who deserve the big bucks.

We won't buy Johnson & Diaby. They're too similar & it would mean other areas of the team wouldn't get an upgrade.

I thought Emery had said previously he wanted a tall wide player, who could play central. That could be the other Torres,  especially if it's a loan to buy.

A lot depends on who leaves, out of Couthino, Bailey & Dinge, only Couthino looks likely. But if he could stay fit & find some form it would be a huge bonus. We're not going to raise much money from sales of Sanson, Davis, Hause or Traore.

As this starts with 'I agree with Mike', I won't quibble with one of the vocations on the list. I'm glad you included cleaners as my mom and gran were both in that vital profession.

Only joking on the last one, as it concerns me. I do agree with you though.

We won't buy Johnson & Diaby.

Huh.. didn't we put through a legitimate bid for Diaby?

Absolutely.

We are a society that values someone who can kick a ball infinitely more than we value a paramedic who will save our lives, or a firefighter who risks their life to save ours.

Not really. The difference is in that more people can train to become a paramedic or a firefighter. To become a Premier League player is about as likely as being struck by lightening.

Hmm, not sure about that really, as the likelihood of becoming a player is limited because of the 20 club limit and the squad limit, not on there not being enough people capable of playing football.

We think a job that is less important is more valuable than a more common one that can be literally life or death. That’s the real point I think.

Well we have  made hard work of finding anyone that can kick a ball competently until fairly recently.

Why wouldn't we? You don't think we're going to try and buy 2 forwards or is it because you think it'll cost too much? I'm fully expecting us to buy 2 forwards and if it's right Diaby can play centrally then it would make sense.

I think we will go for both and possibly a bigger forward. Bailey and Traore are clearly available, so we need 2 wide players.
