VillaTalk wouldn't let me join.

We'll take any old riff-raff here.

This I have discovered!  ;D

Referring to Newton Heath as 'United" is a heinous crime and posters who do this should be given a friendly but vigorous online bashing.

Why all the discussion? Tsk!

Who was it on here who used to refer to Old Trafford as The Theatre of Dreams, without any hint of irony whatsoever?

I'm sure we could get an argument going on here about a blank page. Great ,isn't it?

I wasn’t in any way annoyed, so didn’t comment, but the context wasn’t clear at all. You said Newcastle were playing United. It looked incongruous given that Newcastle are called United.

No, I said two other clubs were interested in him, Newcastle and Utd. In reply to a comment about us apparently being the only team interested in Joao Felix, a player who is open to a premier league return, has repeatedly said he wants to move to a Champions League team.

In that context, and given I named Newcastle, there is no other United I could have been talking about.

But yes, if meandering off topic isn't for you, then VT is probably the place, where even mentioning a player different to the one the topic is about leads to threats of deletions, bans and red text everywhere.

Along with being a long time member, but still getting a temporary ban extended to a permanent ban, with zero prior warnings, just because you have the audacity to argue back to the admin, when they were afraid of losing their access to that Krulak chap, after questioning Krulak quite "healthily" about our downfall on the public thread, just as we were starting our downfall. (Had some pretty vigorous discussions with him in DM too, where he was more honest.)

Some might say that signing Steve Sidwell was a sign of the hell that was to come... 😂

Two people decided to get pedantic about a post I made despite the fact it was very obvious who I was talking about. The thread has since been derailed for about 2 pages by rants about fighting the power.

I understand the wider context you're all so bent out of shape about, but it doesn't apply here, and that's why I've pointed out, 3 times now, that the outrage, vitriol, anger, whatever is misplaced and in this case you're choosing to get annoyed about it.

*slowly shakes head*

You still don't get it.

If we're not doing exactly what you said we're doing above, what on earth would we talk about.

If you think this is bad, you should have been around when Villadawg was here and we'd have 20 page rucks about Spurs' wage bill.

This very site, extremely recently, was the scene of a multi-page argument over whether "Villa" is singular or plural.

In the world of Villa forums, VillaTalk = younger posters, more discussion of football, very meme heavy.

H&V = basically a bunch of almost exclusively left wing forty somethings arguing over the most unimportant things ever and taking absolutely every single opportunity to be pedantic.

We haven’t had a decent left winger here since Ashley Young first time round

Diaby getting closer apparently. The only thing I know is that his pace is 94 on Fifa 23 as my lad was playing as Leverkusen the other day. Mark Wood rapid that.
