I've been saying we should go for Sancho for about six months now.

He shouldn't have left Dortmund but I suspect Dortmund wanted him gone as that's how they operate. They would have wanted the money and to reinvest.

There's a top player there imo.

Yeah, no.

Sancho? Christ no. We’ve got one disappointing winger in Bailey, let’s not get another.

Christ I hope we sign someone so I don't have to scroll through more of this

Yeah, with the Harry Maguire, Jaden Sancho and JWP links it's been grim reading on here at times.

re Saudi, I never understood how it was that 15 of the 19 9/11 perpetrators were Saudi, yet American revenge for the attack seemed to involve nothing of note in the direction of Saudi Arabia.

I struggle to think of a more vile, reprehensible hell hole.

You are asserting a country with a population of 36 million based on the actions of 15 people.....some would say the hell hole is between your ears, but I would like to think you just had a bad day.

In terms of human rights, it is a hell hole and that's nothing to do with just 15 people. I imagine many migrant workers would describe it as such.

On transfers, I have been really impatient with transfers this last few days, I've checked here more than I usually would. I don't know why considering we have just signed Tielemans. I just want one that's going to make me go 'shit, that's it, that's the one, here we come baby!'

Jackson and Chuk II from Villareal are the ones for me. No links yet though :(

Sancho is miles more talented than Bailey to be fair.

That will be the end of Sancho’s England career if he comes to lowly Villa. He’s a decent player. Not worth anything like what those idiots paid for him. At half the price he’s worth it as he’s still young and coachable. But I imagine he’s also on stupid wages too.

That may be but neither of them have pulled up any trees in 2 seasons a piece in the Premier League. It makes no difference how talented they may be.

Not sure there is that much evidence to support this. As average as Bailey was last season, if you look at Villas goal reel for season just gone, Bailey had a role in a decent percentage at Villa Park at least. I don’t watch Man United if I can help it, but Sancho didn’t appear to do a lot again last season. If you are talking about what they did in Germany, its long gone for both.

For all his inconsistency, we had a better shape to us last season under Emery when he was playing than when he wasn’t.

I noticed this too. I was surprised how much he was involved.

The thing is, I think Barnes would be the better option. He’s got a better goal contribution per game ratio despite being in a poorer performing team, has consistently been in the goals for several seasons, and would be a cheaper deal to put together, especially considering the wages Sancho is on.
