Douglas the pick of the second half performances, I thought.

Revan looked lively.

Mings had a stinker, but only Preseason.

Lovely to see Diaby get a goal and he almost set Cammy away at one point too.
Mings had a stinker? Are you sure?

Perhaps stinker is a little harsh, but he definitely had some "moments" last night.

Most players on both sides did, I think the pitch and conditions were a big factor. It's not often you see players 10minutes into the game looking like they've taken a shower in their kit.

As an (unimportant) aside, why wasn't Emi wearing the new keeper top last night, and what was the lime green effort he was wearing?

Clashed with the Ref?

Maybe the away kit one? What top did Olsen wear as he isn't present in the highlights as nothing happened our end first half?

There's 3 keepers kits visible in the changing room pics, all the same colour.

I heard the commentator say words last night that I thought I'd never hear when he said 'Robin Olsen-A safe pair of hands'  Hasn't seen much of the current Aston Villa has he?

Moisture in the air.....the darker the claret, which I love!

Humidity was pretty intense last night, even by our standards here

Did the weather/conditions impact on Cam's penalty? Not looking to make excuses or anything, but it did kind of look like the ball moved quite heavily after he kicked it. Maybe it was just a bad kick rather than the pitch being to blame.

not really. It wasn't the worst penalty. The keeper did well.

It was a decent save on to the post and Cam's placement was good. He may have telegraphed which way he was going, and just rolled his foot over the ball as he struck it, so it lacked a bit of power.

Felt like he rushed it a touch but it was a decent save.

Same here, thought the shirts looked fine last night (apart from the blue shoulder panels).

As I said at stupid o’clock this morning, was the first time for a while where I thought we weren’t inspirational but had it in us to step up a gear if we had to.

I thought the penalty was almost perfect, his placement was correct but I felt that he didn't hit it hard enough giving the keeper that split second to get down to it.  It was well saved.

I thought the penalty was fine, was just a really good save.

I thought the same. Very good save - ground level and just the right side of the post, they’re not supposed to save those.

Is anyone else really wanting us to win this pre-season tournament? I know it's meaningless, but I want us to have that competitive streak where we want to show we are the best at every opportunity.

Plus, if it takes off and they do it every year, I want our name to be there as the inaugural champions!
