I'm smirking but I might not be when we get news on Kamara.

Ugly win, Palace made it as easy for us as they possibly could and we still fell over the line. Kamara injury a real worry. McGinn and Cash our two best for me. Our attacking players weren't at it at all today.
Martinez 7, Cash 8, Konsa 6, Mings 6, Moreno 6 (Digne 6), Luiz 7, Kamara 7 (Chambers 5), McGinn 8, Ramsey 5 (Bailey 5), Buendia 6, Watkins 6.

Disappointing that we didn't create much today but I think it's just one of those mid-table games - we're not the best, neither are they. So all things considered, grateful to have another three points.

Not convincing but we won. A shit game, and possibly a bad injury to Kamara. Took us forever to get a shot on goal.
You complained the whole time. Enjoy your weekend lads.

No not really. But tell me what great positives did you take from that? We won that’s about the only thing.

I thought Kamara and Doug controlled the middle well and Palace  had no flow of possession through the middle of the park. Moreno and Cash were both excellent, defended well and both got forward numerous times in combination play. For a team that has one style, force it in to Zaha as quickly as possible, he was nullified barring the early disallowed goal. Did Emi even have a save to make? Is there room for improvement, sure.. but saying that a tying goal is coming or only posting to complain about how shit we are one up at home is asinine.

Two clean sheet in a row.

And today there were some very good ball plays, you could see the pieces coming together, and we had lots of good possession.
Okay, Villa were never worried by a bad team,Palace can't score with 11 and, when they had 10, felt victory was inevitable.

Watkins missed a good opportunity to score another goal, but I can be content with the victory.
Up The Villa!

Odds on we'll be last on MotD and we can't complain. Great result though.

It wasn’t pretty and Palace were on the pitch to disrupt and out-muscle us. With our re-educated squad who know how to manage a game we dealt with them, they were toothless in attack. I thought SJM had another good game too.

We remain 11th following a similarly unconvincing 1-0 for Chelsea at home to Leeds. We are 7 points ahead of Palace in 12th and closer to the Champions League places than the relegation spots. There is *no excuse* for looking down rather than up
