This has always puzzled me but as his goal v Leicester put us two up and then they scored a consolation why is that called a match winning goal?

Because if he hadn’t scored it the final result would have been 1-1.

Wrong surely as if he hadn't scored it the whole sequence of what followed wouldn't have meant Leicester necessarily scored.

That overcomplicates things so most stats use the one that puts you one ahead of the opposition, whenever it's scored. So in a 5-0 tonking the first is the winner and in a 5-3 the 4th is.

I wonder why he hasn't been in front of the media the last few games. Given all that happened over the summer, and how he's been playing, and that wonder goal, you'd think they'd by dying to speak to him, even just on MotD or something.
