So.. From that I get that our PSR issue is this year, and theirs is next. As such, we will buy players from Chelsea after June 30th, also suiting us, and they will sign Duran before it.

I don't particularly enjoy us helping Chelsea out like that but I suppose if we're in a precarious position ourselves then we can't really complain.

Agreed, but if we use it to our advantage then so much the better.

Do Chelsea have an illustrious Colombian legend who can make him cry his crocodile tears on signing?

Mutu was their big Colombian link.

Im hoping the Telegraph is correct with their story about us being after Maatson from Chelsea as part of an exchange deal.

He is a rapid, agile, young attacking LWB with lots of potential.

I like him a lot as a player.

Looks like Emery is building a team entirely of leftbacks. Digne, Moreno, Iling, Maatsen. It’s crazy but it might just work.

Maatsen is excellent - error in the Champions League final aside.

Where would that leave Digne and Moreno?

Where would that leave Digne and Moreno?

One of them (probably Digne) on his bike. The other, (probably Moreno) on the bench.

Press talk that Moreno wants to go back to Spain. Maatsen would be an upgrade if we bring him in.

My one concern in the Torygraph article is that Chelsea are undertaking, "background checks" on Duran.. Hope their employing somebody with Closeauesque detecting skills.

Hopefully they focus on the fact that he's never missed a training session (when fit) more than him throwing wild parties.
