Gallagher will want the best deal for him, and I suspect he quite likes being at his club, even if they aren't Champions League. If they'd finished 9th and no Europe he may well have been more likely to come...

If we are looking at a player as part of a deal with Chelsea I think Chalobah would be top of the list for me. He's good enough with the ball to cover at right back and DM as well as being a replacement for Carlos (if we are moving him on as many suspect).

Chalobah would be my guess too.  But don't think he'd be top of my list tbh.

He's 24 so perhaps that's less of an issue. If you're in your thirties with not many seasons left, you'd fancy Villa a lot more as who knows if you will get a chance to play in the Champions League again? If you're 24 you'd probably think Chelsea or Tottenham provide a more likely chance of playing in it on a regular basis over the next decade or so.

Also likely that he doesn't want to leave London

Posters on here probably count Surrey as being in London given some of the desperate, and shameful, attempts to pretend that Birmingham isn't the biggest city.

Well, I've seen Hertfordshire's Watford described as 'cockney wankers' on these very pages so you could well be right.

Popular with the ladies? Or just really festive?
Senile old great aunt, I think.  Sends a card a month beforehand, forgets she's done it by the next morning, sends another one.  Rinse and repeat until the week after the person's birthday.

Obviously, Newcastle is a small town in Scotland too.

We do need to strengthen our options at RCB but he was always one I was hoping got picked to play against us. They seem to have a lot of injury prone players in their squad, Fofana was outstanding at Leicester for example.

A little bit disappointing to see him go so soon as he could go on and be tremendous but for us  to have doubled our money on him after one season is good going. It'll be fascinating to see how he progresses.
