He talks about us as if we're "some team from the mountains" (to borrow a quote from Benteke's agent, when claiming that's what we weren't but at the same time touting his client to Liverpool).

Those crocodile tears from Dúran when watching the JPA video when he exhorted the dumb young dickhead to give his all for the Villa...pfft. We would have been better off with Juampi Jr, Tomás Ángel.

Good lord, just shut up Jhon. I don’t think it makes any material difference to the likelihood of him leaving.

Reading between the lines he just wants to live in London doesn’t he?

It’s very unfortunate that a talented player but a young man at the start of his career cannot appreciate the massive opportunity in front of him. To be at a CL club under the tutelage of one of the world’s top managers and also under the guidance of one of Europe’s best forwards who is 28. So if Duran played it right he could our long term starter in 2-3 years.

Indeed, I also wonder if he's realised Watkins is made of granite and can happily play 50+ games a season, so he's not going to play that much for us?  A £30m move, a nice little pay bump and more regular football might be all he's interested in.

He'll realise his mistake soon enough.

There's really no rush. Happy to wait until after we've played West Ham.

I’ve a feeling he’s going to be a bit like Balotelli, loads of talent but he’ll get in the way of himself and never be at a club more than a couple of years.

He will be making eyelash flutterings at Chelsea within six months, especially if he starts playing well...

I was trying think why he is so desperate to move to teams we have finished above in both the seasons he's been here, and thats all I can think of.

Interesting - considering Lange must have been key in signing him - that Spurs aren't after him.  think that says a lot
