On the flip side, what would be the plan if Watkins does get injured.

We'd have to spend some of the Duran money getting in a replacement, we wouldn't have any other option. The rumour has been that we're in for a forward so maybe the plan has been to get rid/happy to let go of Duran for a while.

We wait until the season starts & see how the squad was built during the summer.

If we sell Duran, I cannot see them leaving us with only Watkins & Archer.

Obviously, if we sold today & had a game today, then Archer would have to be the cover.

But fortunately, we haven't & we don't... 😁

If we have to sell someone, then he is the one I'd choose over pretty much every other person suggested recently.

I like him, he's a raw talent that has huge potential and has made the difference in games, our last home game as a great example.

But, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, and Luiz, Watkins, Martinez, Ramsey are all players who are fulfilling expectation already.

Watkins, Diaby, Bailey and Archer are all forwards that can do a job. I'd also expect us to go for someone else too.

The last 24 hrs have proved that Chelsea are still as mental as ever. Exploit it and get a shed load in for someone.

Rogers started to look as if he can play more central in the last few games he started. To me Duran and Watkins never seemed to have any understanding of each other. Whether that was by one or both not liking each other or because their minds work in completely different ways as to what they should be doing. I also think Unai has players who know what they need to do; where they should be on the pitch etc. and I am not sure Duran can be changed into that sort of player.

I think he’s the type of player who needs to be in a side built to accommodate his lack of discipline. Unless Unai thinks he can coach that discipline into him, I think he’ll always be an impact sub for us, or go.

I think anyone who is trying to engineer a move, real  or imaginary, to Chelsea, of all places, at the moment, probably isn't the ideal player for the kind of team Emery is building.

Yeah, I agree. He can have all the talent in the world but if he's not following instructions well then he won't be the man for Emery. Some other manager will no doubt be more accommodating in that regard. A shitter one.

I don't think he's good enough (yet) to be the number one, out-and-out striker for a top 6 team. He's strong and quick with a good shot, but most top level strikers have a lot more to their all round game.

For a 20 year old he's a cracking talent and I think the odds are high that we'd regret selling him.

I wouldn't take a penny less than Ł50m plus add ons for him. He's clearly got a huge amount of talent, and clearly has ability to do it under pressure. Right moment, right club, he's going to be one of the very best, if he wants to be.
