Fifty plus million for a right back because that's how much he would cost? Utter tosh.

Was there much chat in the Portuguese press about Sporting being in for Andrés Garcia?

More than a fair bit which is a good sign for us given how good Sporting's recruitment is.

I was thinking the same, they seem to have unearthed some gems and sold them on for very decent fees in recent years.

Has he lost a yard or two of pace? He seems unable to beat anyone on the outside when he’s attacking, and Trossard’s cross today happened because he was able to get a yard or two of separation when Matty couldn’t match him.

Still in wonder at him assisting with a left-footed loft!

Also, the move he did to get the ball over to his left for the loft - looked very Johan Cruyff to me.

I think he’s well known for his Cruyff turns isn’t he? He always does them to turn back and pass to Konsa.

The “Konsa” turn, as it’s now known.

Cashy under pressure now with Garcia in so expecting him to perform again v Monaco with assisting stakes as Garcia seems to be able to do similar with his left and right foot!

So can Cashy, didn't you see his sublime cross for Ollie at Arsenal?

He's had a previous assist with a wafting left foot cross.
