Great performance especially 2nd half, great result
But I had a massive row with the misses earlier and it’s took the edge of it a bit

Poor first half. Excellent second. I put it all down to me having my yearly shower at HT and changing in to my Archer 35 shirt. I'm not obsessed. Honest!

I thought we were fine in the first half, kept possession well, annoyed Spurs who wanted to dominate but couldn't, because we had the ball.
Second half was wonderful.

Brilliant win. I thought our tactics against Liverpool were kamikaze but today we were so disciplined in the first half and then played them off the pitch in the second half. I didn't like the subs, more the formation changes, during the game, but they all seemed to work out. We absolutely destroyed their midfield and had their fickle crowd booing their subs coming on for a finish. Best performance in years. Luiz, best individual performance in a Villa shirt since Grealish left.

Olsen 7 - much better, looked a competent keeper bar one scare with ball at his feet
Young 8 - brilliant recovery in first half from his original mistake. Positionally excellent
Konsa 7 - such an improvement from the debacle v Liverpool. Much braver on ball, surprise sub
Mings 8 - pocketed Kane and again sharper with ball
Digne 7 - decent display
Kamara 9 - man mountain, physically dominated them
Luiz 10 - outrageous, can't recall a mistake. Dominant without ball and outstanding with it including an outstanding goal
McGinn 8 - brilliant assist and showing a much needed return to form last two games. Won a lot of free kicks
Watkins 7 - did brilliant for Buendia goal with a quality assist but not sharp enough later in getting shot away. Led the line really well
Buendia 7 - great finish for the goal and brilliant ball into Watkins soon after
Bailey 6 - nice touches at times but limited impact

Subs - all were decent, Coutinho had a strong cameo as we cruised to victory. Emery 9 - learned a lot from Liverpool game and a tactical triumph over Conte.

One of the things Emery is obviously brilliant at is communication, which ironically is the thing he was most derided for in the press. First half today we were solid but stodgy. Second half, the midfield and strikers had a much clearer idea of how to exploit Tottenham's crap defence, and that comes from tweaks and ideas expressed at half time. Emery had fifteen minutes to tactically take the game away from Spuds and he did it. You know he's always got another plan.

Don't worry about it, I got a bollocking earlier for, of all things, putting the bin out too early!  What that means is in the highly unlikely situation where more stuff needs to be emptied into it she (more likely me) will have to walk ten yards instead of five.  Still, the Villa won.

I wonder how long it will take us to quit with the outrage when starting lineups are announced and we just ‘trust’ the manager.

For the first time in a VERY long time, I feel like we have installed the perfect man for the top job. What he has done with this squad in 4 league games is nothing short of astounding, and long may it continue.

Not seeing much love for McGinn in here, I thought he was superb today, worked himself into the ground. And that assist, well!

His best game for a while but was still very frustrating at times. My only problem with how we were setup today was that him and Bailey were both on the right and cut back every time we had a chance to attack in behind davies, I'd like to see both of them work on their weaker foot heavily over the next few months if we're going to keep playing them this way, teams having to defend inside and out on that side of the pitch will help us create a lot more chances.

If today was a glimpse into our future, then we are in for a treat over the coming years.

Credit to Olsen and Konsa who were much improved, Kamara was my motm with Luiz a close second. Despite not taking his chances, Watkins was immense and his assist for Buendia was beautifully weighted and perfectly placed. Was surprised Cash didn't start but Ashley rolled back the years and provided excellent distribution and composure at the back.

Excellent performances all-round that made Tottingham look very ordinary. Well done Unai and the boys.
