Most upset - Liverpool in 1992
Most annoyed - Bolton in 1994
Most horrendous - United in 2002
Most miserable - Wimbledon in 1991

1991, in a blizzard, standing in the open away end for my second and last visit to the old Plough Lane (the previous had been a mind numbingly dismal 0-0 earlier in the season for the league, but at least the weather was amenable for that one), soaked to the skin and freezing. Wimbledon winning it in the very last minute of ET after having just played long balls out of defence all night.

Then fell over in a puddle on the walk back to Wimbledon station.

Still look back on it with fondness now...

We have won 1 FA Cup tie since beating Liverpool 7.5 years ago in the Semi-Final

But this is our season to win that trophy

So that - 14-15 - would have been the last season we won a third round tie at the first attempt. Assuming we did win that without a replay...

We did. Beat Blackpool 1-0 at VP with an 88th minute Benteke winner.

Which reminds me, whatever happened to that half-arsed manager who thought he was famous?

Haha but he wasn't in charge that day.  For a bonus point, which former small heath baffoon was in charge of Blackpool that day?

I didn't think he was manager at that time but the post reminded me of him.  Was it Lee Clarke for that match?

Wettest was when pre bankruptcy fiddle Leicester would not repair the holes in the roof over the away supporters.  Water poured through the roof and the coppers and the stewards made sure it all came on our heads.

Was at that Wimbledon replay. Wore jeans; at the end could hardly walk with all the rain they soaked up .Felt like a Hell's Angel initiation ceremony.(if you know, you know)

Away at Maine Road in early 1995 was a soaking as well. No cover whatsoever, and remember getting the train home absolutely sodden.

Didn't they give away macs like grannies wear on their heads at that game? Might just have been for the home fans. I remember having to leave, on police advice, via the pitch/home end as it was kicking off at the away exit.

As has been said many times, there are soakings, then there is Huddersfield away in 1987.

My memory of that game was John Fashanu not being able to control a football in the warm up. God he was shit.

Yep it was a bit tetchy at full time. Bloke in front of me was flinging 50p coins at the home crowd at the end of the game.
