What's the penalty for making too many subs 'cause I reckon the jawdee nation have made 6?

Looks like it on Flashscores, although I didn’t see all their subs.

It might get uglier under Emery before it gets better. But at least it will be a plan he will want us to adhere to and learn.

That's where patience will be required. The virtue that fans don't really possess.

Today's opponents were still woeful for the first few months of Howe's reign - and were knocked out of the Cup at home to Cambridge.  Lasting change rarely happens overnight.

As per BBC Sport, they made 6 subs. Throw the book at them!

Only positive is that Emery would have watched that and can happily have a long list of players to bin.

I'm not sure I'd want it replayed. Be funny if we awarded a 2-0 win on a technicality.

Newcastle are really good, Howe has done an amazing job.

I don't think Newcastle are anything special, they're now playing with loads of confidence against a team that have given up.
I like Howe. He has more class than the Geordie Nation combined.
Sure we've raised the white flag but it's more than just this game. They were certs to go down when he took over and now they're in the top four playing some greta stuff. Plus what he's done with Almiron and Joelinton is pretty amazing.

A concussion substitution allows the opposition team to make a extra one, according the geordies.

It doesn’t matter who we have as manager, he won’t get this squad above half way. Our season relies heavily on January because it’s clear to anyone we have some very ordinary players.

Rubbish you cant tell me that Newcastle have much better players than we do. With a proper team of coaches a top manager and a form of direction there is plenty in this squad to get above mid table. We've had a year of awful management it isint going to suddenly switch now we've got rid of them all.

My opinion is based on watching them many times for the last 3 seasons and a bit seasons. We make some unbelievable individual mistakes and still have issues keeping the ball and making use of it. Defensively we shoot ourselves in the foot so many times and have done under Smith, Gerrard and now this game under a caretaker coach. Have we been terribly coached for 3 and a bit seasons or are a few of the players we have shown they just aren’t up to this standard? We’ll see I suppose but I’ll stick by what I’ve said.

What’s the excuse this week? The coach has gone, they’ve come off the back of an 4-0 win and the slightest sign of a battle and the white flags go up.
It must be Danks’ fault surely?

How the hell can you blame Danks?

It’s called sarcasm.

Only positive is that Emery wasn't in charge today.
