Given Villa scored with the most shots from outside the box, across the season, he's being a dit dim.  If we weren't first, we were well up there for shots outside the box.

Biased against or towards what though? He?s not a supporter of a ?big 6 club?. He?s snarky about other teams too. I get not liking his tone, he?s lost his way a bit in recent years, but the arguments of it being specifically biased against Villa just feels a bit thin skinned.

Read the line again.

I don't think there is any other manager that could have got us finishing 4th, 6th, 4th with the financial restrictions we've operated under. So to claim Emery isn't "highest tier" and that we relied on Rogers scoring long-range goals to win games when we scored 91 goals last season isn't anti-Villa bias, it's just shit dim-witted reporting.

I saw what he wrote. It?s snarky, which is what he does a lot not just with Villa.

Like I said, it's bad journalism.

Why don't enough Villa fans stick up for their club? It's weird.

Yeah but bad journalism and bias aren?t necessarily related, and in this case it?s unlikely they are. I?m not disputing it?s a daft thing to say.

A journalist has based Unai Emery winning the Europa League on a couple of Morgan Rogers 25 yarders and when its called out, you called Villa fans thin skinned? Really?

Nope I called extending to a particular bias against Villa as a bit thin skinned, because it?s quite consistent with the tone he often uses with other clubs.

He does seem to have an irrational degree of snarkiness when it comes to Villa, though.

And I am absolutely not on board with the usual 'OMG the media hate us!111!!' brigade.

I am when it comes to Jonathan Wilson, though, as it's so obvious and consistent.

Yeah I see him being snarky about Villa plenty, it?s not just the cited reference, and it?s boring. But I see it plenty with other clubs too (Manure, Citeh, Chelsea come to mind - which are all obviously more amusing to see). It just suggests to me he?s descended into a parody of himself.

He was wittering on in one of his match reports towards the end of the season about Villa taking up the option to sign Abraham on a permanent deal in the summer.

That's how knowledgeable he is about goings on at B6.

Reporting on anything else bar Pep's tactics is a chore for him.

This is where I am at with him, it's definitely not just us.
