It would look just as good for us spread over 3 seasons.

The next step is to get the number of losses down. Over the last few years too many times we've lost games that we shouldn't have and, if we want to become regulars in the champions league that needs to change.

The Unai effect is even better than the table states as he didn’t manage us until about the 12th game in the 2022-23 season. Obviously prior to that the results weren’t great. Maybe 10 more points?

Think we had 9 points from 11 games when Slippy was sacked then 12 from 13 before Unai.

What's our GD like? A bit ropey I imagine, given how we live games on the edge but fuck it.p

Since Emery took over we are fourth in aggregate league, twenty points clear of fifth placed Man U.

We only have the fifth best goal difference, less than half that of fourth placed Newcastle.

Sixth on goals scored, seventh on goals against not counting all the teams that haven't played fewer seasons.

Yep.

Since Emery was appointed. Still fourth, but increases the gap below by six points and reduces the gap above by seven. Has goal difference too, which as eamonn alluded to is miles off.

Having watched Spain dismantle a supposedly invincible France last night I am taking a very optimistic view of things. We are blessed to have an elite Spanish coach who has proven capable of dismantling elite teams in a similar manner.
As long as he is at the helm psr/scr and players coming and going are an irrelevance in my opinion. If we lose him that's when I will start to worry

I was watching last night thinking he must be loving how Spain have played it.

I feel Unai is more worldly and sanguine about these things.

The selling of Rogers,Tielemans and many others is allowing us to rebuild the squad in Unai’s image. He hasn’t really had the opportunity to make wholesale changes since he arrived, it’s been very much evolution rather than revolution.

But, with the sale of players this summer; his new no:2 coming in; and an influx of new, quality players coming in, I think we are going to see fully re-energised, revitalised Unai next season.

Look out world, Villa are coming.
