Steve Bruce said some nice things about the club in the interview but like many of his managerial and playing generation just so stuck in the past. That’s an absolute bizarre thing to think let alone say out loud.

Steve Bruce on Talksport Drive time...Andy Goldstein, "People are saying when Pep leaves now that Unai is probably the best manager in the league"

Bruce, "I have to agree with that but there are still some great managers in the league, David Moyes, for me has to be in the same category as Unai Emery"
Is he, aye?

Mates in it ?  that is worth a Lunch from Moyesy

Emery is good but he's no Pulis or Paul Jewel.

The most fatal of all his fatal flaws is the inability to distinguish there from thereabouts.

Turned around his career spectacularly from a trio of flops - Man United, Sociedad (odd stop), Sunderland. Did win a European trophy at soon to be relegated West Ham.

He's not in Emerys league but is a very solid PL manager.

Beautiful photo.

Gorgeous. It’s worth reflecting on how long we’ve been able to utterly trust a manager for. This doesn’t happen often! Long may he reign.

I’m reading Ballague’s book and it’s making me less confident that he’ll stay. Mentions that he’s been frustrated in the past when he’s felt restricted financially, and leaves clubs when he thinks he’s taken them as far as they can - usually after winning a trophy. Also that he has ambitions to manage a giant like Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Hope I’m being paranoid.

Yes, very. Watch his YouTube channel of the day of the final, 18 minute video. He doesn't sound like someone who thinks Emery is about to fuck off.
