Every manager goes through challenging runs. Emery hasn’t done what he’s done throughout his career by having it easy. It’s one thing waltzing into roles like Pep at the very best and well resourced clubs in the world. Quite another when you take clubs in more challenging circumstances and turning them into trophy winners. I imagine Villarreal or Sevilla fans had doubts at points during Emery’s time but they were rewarded in the end with titles. We need to do the same. The journey so far has been superb but there will be times which will be difficult. Right now is one of those spells but I am confident we will come through it.

Agreed and I think we all are.

Arsenal fans can fuck off too. Entitled bell ends.

Absolutely.

We had a wobble in Jan/Feb last year and bounced back.

Omens are good that this bloke has the right stuff to oversee a repeat.

The loss of Pau for a long period of time has been a massive issue for us.

Emery is too good not to figure this out. We’ve had bumps in the road before and we’ve come back stronger.
This is the point where a great Coach earns his money. Arsenal fans were telling me that when your form fades he will struggle, ok now lets see if that is the case.
You mean the arsenal fans who got him the sack

They won 6 of his last 20 league games, that's going to do for a lot of managers at the top end.

You know what Arsenal fans are like. When they lose a game nowadays, it's like the scene in Airplane 2 when the stewardess Elaine tells the passengers they are out of coffee.

I expect we'll see another tweak in formation.

Maybe the 433/4231? with a three of Luiz,Kamara and SJM and up front Bailey, Diaby and Watkins.

This would allow Konsa to shift across to right back to give us the stability we had against Man City and Arsenal.

Not so much formation as personnel. The second striker role should probably be occupied by more of a 10 figure (let's say Tielemans), to give that boxy midfield behind more to work with. There's been a noticeable difficulty playing through the lines once we get to midfield.

"We are facing seven teams who are stronger than us and who are better than us overall in everything." Enough with this sort of stuff please Unai, it's no better than the "wiping the floor with us" comments from Gerrard.

When did he say that? After the Newcastle game?

He's said that there are 7 teams who are favourites more than us to finish top 7 a few times. "Better than us overall in everything" is a bit of a rubbish thing to say though. Newcastle didn't have a better team than us on Tuesday, for a start.

I think it’s a message to the players to try and reduce pressure and tension.

Or a reminder to the owners that he's over-achieving relative to the targets given to him.
