I can understand why women complain that, even when things are going well, men talk too much about their exes.
Any bloke who spends time talking to his Mrs about his ex, either doesn’t like his current partner much or is a complete dick.

I think about a particular ex quite a lot, and talk to her, but I rarely talk about her to my missus, unless she brings her up. ‘That bitch’ as she calls her.

Facebook today gave me this memory which i posted on this day in 2012:

Having won only one of your last EIGHTEEN premier league matches, surely you're getting to the point where you're going to win, if only on the basis of statistical inevitability?

How times have changed.

He makes me feel emotional.

We're smashing teams in nearly every game. Wtf.

We deserve this. We've suffered enough as a club. Now it's our time.

When I found myself behind at Fulham, Nasser Sawiris came to me
The push I have been given, Stevie G, Stevie G.

Quality, love this!

Fucking hell, those were the days. I think the most monumentally depressed I was in those years was the non scoring run before Lambert got the tin tack. That was even worse than how abject we were in the relegation year somehow.

The McLeish year was pretty bad, or at least the second half of that season. We actually were solid enough up to New Year. I think we won 8 games that season and drew 14 - not reaching 40 points for probably the first time in the premier league era. It then became the norm for the next few seasons before we finally dropped

I’m convinced he’s “the one”. I’ve thought (and said) for ages that the reason almost every manager goes downhill after Villa is because if you get it right at the Villa there is no “up”. A top manager at the Villa has everything they need to dominate the game in the way that Liverpool or Manchester United did.

And I think that wonderful Basque man is the guy to do it.

I make that 6 times we've scored 4 or more this season already. It's utterly compelling.

Remember that period under Lambert when we let in a million goals around Christmas time

Quite right Percy. I don't have any ex's and having been married for 34 years my missus would kill me if she knew I still talk to some online who are still good friends of mine.

I noticed last night that Bailey's defensive work has significantly improved, he covered for Matty Cash in one instance, tracked back and held the defensive line for the offside goal they had - not seen him that aware before, showing they are all being impeccably coached and the majority have upped their performance accordingly.

Some are taking longer than others, and as SJM has stated, if you don't eventually match Unai's expected levels, you will be moved on. No longer any slackers in our team, if they are still here (in our assessment), it's because Unai can see something in them that we don't.

Sooner or later success is coming our way.

Oh those glorious days of coming back after an international break and passing the ball endlessly but getting nowhere. I remember we actually won the first game against Leicester doing it (Hutton winner) before gradually declining until the point Lambert dropped Benteke because he didn't score with his one touch of the game

Yep, doesn't add up, but it is eight times in 15 matches we have scored three or more.
