You reveal yourself as a complete wanker making fun of someone attempting to learn or speak a foreign language. And after all this time if you’re still coming up with “good ebening” in your posts to get a cheap laugh then you’re just a boring prejudiced twat.

Yep indeed. And for clarity, I'd like him to say it to them as a pisstake of them.

I’m actually “very happy” with his press conferences. He doesn’t patronise, isn’t glib, doesn’t give excuses, doesn’t use them to settle scores, and doesn’t try to bully officials or belittle supporters.

I’m under 40 so I’ve seen about 14 villa managers, I’d say the above statement probably only applies to a handful of his predecessors.

Despite all the piss-taking he's had for it, he often opens post-match interviews by saying 'good evening'.

Deliberately so I reckon. Judging by the wry smile and pause he gave the first few times he said it.

Through work I deal with people all over Europe and I regularly have people apologise for their English. My default response is always that their English is far better than any attempt I could make at their language and that I'm very lucky to be able to always work in my native language. I can't get my head around anyone taking the piss out of people who are willing to change their language to suit you and the ones who focus on pronunciation in particular are just massive dickheads.

There's an article on him in the Guardian as well.

It's as if the scales have fallen from the eyes of the media over the weekend.

Our Manager, as has been pointed out, comes across as an absolute Gentleman and in my lifetime I can only think of Sir Graham and Brian Little who were similar.

Good ebening people on twitter need shooting point blank range with a rocket launcher

Very bad taste comment at the current time.

You suggest we wait for a time when nobody in the world is dealing with the problem of being shot before making these jokes?

We are truely blessed to have him at our great club.  I truly believe that if he wants to, he can build a dynasty here - like Wegner at arsenal.

It just feels like the stars have aligned, and there is just so much to love about what's happening on the pitch.   Much credit must go to our owners too, how many owners have we had that never learnt from what went wrong.  And, in a time of sports washing - and a lot of unpleasantness they seem a good sort.

I genuinely think this is why Newcastle fans seem so obsessed with us - as we're keeping pace with them without having had to sale our soul - and long may it continue.

I know we will now lose against Alkmaar and Luton, but the sky really could be the limit for what we achieve under Unai

I don't think anyone could deal with being shot point blank with a rocket. That is too big a problem to deal with. If Axl Rose absolutely must shoot someone point blank then a water pistol would be better but only filled with water and not too hot.

Happy Unai Day everyone.

To celebrate I've eaten some quiche that has chorizo in it. It wasn't very good tbh but who cares.

Today I will think about all of the good moments we've had so far under Unai and wish for many more.

I love him so much.

Apologies.

This all sounds reasonable, it's just that my only problem is that it is, by now, extremely obvious that just because Axl says something it doesn't make it come true!

I'd love it if when we win the Champions League that in his post-match interview he relaxes enough to say, 'Well that was a bery good ebening wasn't it?'

I't's not him though is it?  We all know he'd be on his lap top studying our Super Cup opponents.
