Lovely to see that from our manager. Finally we have a class manager on and off the field.

I get SGT MK1 vibes with Emery.
A calming figurehead leading the Villa family, who gets the club and is a damn fine coach.

All kinds of wins under him. All kinds of losses too, to be fair.

Dana - All Kinds Of Everything, Eurovision winner for "Eire" in 1970.

Remember that well. Beat Mary Hopkin
I was 10 and quite fancied Dana, so wasn’t that upset 😂
She's a Derry girl, I married one and love her to bits, but don't be around one when she loses it

He’s a very emotional man. He took that loss hard last week, as we did. But you can see he understands what he has and there is immense pride in being our manager. The last bloke felt he was doing us a solid being our manager. A stepping stone to his real objective. Unai Emery wants this to be his final stop in an excellent career and is putting everything into it.

Top manager, class act. Hope we don't see any more bollocks about 'Pinnochio', the formation etc. Just get behind him and enjoy the ride.

Beautiful, just beautiful. This guy gets what it means to manage football clubs.

Brucie would've been in Dovehouse Lane Fish Bar by 10:30 scooping up the unsold battered sausages at discount

Someone sent me a link to a very funny thread on an Albion forum just after he left.

They were calling him Captain Steak Bakes. Made me chuckle.

I don't think I've ever been this optimistic about a manager. It's the first time we've appointed someone with proven ability at the highest level, someone for whom the Villa job isn't necessarily the biggest they've ever had (I mean, from their perspective, because obviously they'll never get a better or bigger job), and also someone with bags of intelligence, not to mention a commitment to playing a technically demanding style of football.

If we can't do well with Emery, backed by Edens and Sawiris, we might as well just give up.

That’s the sort of thing Dean Smith would say.

As you say, this guy gets it

Class act. (Both of them)

Looking at that picture you can feel that he is looking at our home, drinking it all in and feeling pride at what is now his home.

There you go again, talking nonsense. That lot and intentional humour doesn't happen.

Noting the fact there has been a World Cup, but we’re the only side to beat Manure since the beginning of October I think. That performance looked good at the time, but it’s looking more and more outstanding as time goes on.
