He's used to only playing 15- 20 minutes from the bench. Probably needs more starts to get 'conditioned' for playing 90 minutes.

In a league of 20 teams, where a number of the players above him are midfielders and a number come from the same clubs 18th is still easily a top half striker. Also that 18th was in a season where he'll have been disappointed not to have done better.

He's started this season poorly, in a team that has struggled to create chances (we're 17th on number of shots so far this season) and is clearly struggling to find form but the comments about him have been ridiculous since sunday.

As has been said, these days, more often than not it's about midfielders and wide attackers scoring. The problem we have is that no one else is scoring either. Yep, our lack of goals is a team wide issue not all on his shoulders, which is why I put it down to tactics more than anything else.
