I doubt whether Neymar will be that poor again, Vinicius was very impressive.

Anyone still think Richarlison is shit?

no , but nobody thinks he is as good as he thinks he is

Without wanting to get too philosophical, you could argue that's true of pretty much everyone who makes it as a professional footballer.

Neymar has sprained his right ankle. Or should that be far-right?

What's this Neymar being far-right business? I hate him already, but could always do with another reason.

Based on the first round of fixtures the winner is going to be Brazil Spain France or England. Not sure how the draw works out with these 4.

England would play France in the semi final I think.

It likely would be France in the quarters, Brasil in the semis and Spain in the final but a long way to go yet.

Quarters. Assuming they win the group, it would probably be Ecuador or Senegal next.

Then France (ATWTG) would play runner-up in the Argentina group in R16, the winner of which would play England or Ecuador / Senegal.

I'm not watching apart from 10-15 minute spells while waiting for Taskmaster or Dad's Army to start, but from what little I've seen and the squads, I reckon it could be between France and England.

Long way to go, of course, and I have no horse in the race, but god I hope England don't win. I'd have to spend about six weeks hiding behind the sofa, windows shut, and cutting bunting from my front garden. *shudder*

No offence to the England fans on here, I'm sure you're the decent ones.

(For the avoidance of doubt, I am not an Ireland fan. I just find international football a boring pain in the arse and an excuse for patriotic fools who know nothing about football to act like twats every time England play. I am sure this phenomenon is the same in every country, but as I live in England, it's our twats I am most eager to avoid.)
