Aston Villa Review
« on: August 29, 2022, 10:00:58 AM »
Yesterday I visited Villa Park for the first time, to watch Aston Villa vs West Ham United. I have written a review about my experience, it would mean a lot if you all could read it and offer some feedback. All the best for the season

I'd be more interested in things like how you got there.Public transport? How you got a ticket.Where did you sit. What exactly defined your food and drink score.
And Claret and Blue Army?

Hope you enjoyed the game, was it your first football match as it reads like you don't really understand the game. We didn't score. The goal was ruled out as you say, so we didn't take the lead.

You're American aren't you?

And George Ramsay was not our first manager.

Thank you for the feedback so far, I have seen some fair comments. Regarding the use of ‘Aston Villa scored’ I have absolutely no idea how that happened, my sentence in my notes is ‘Villa had their chance in the 13th minute.’ So I can only apologise for that mistake. No I’m not American, I’m from Gloucester, hence the name of the blog. I have amended the George Ramsay comment and I have notified the person who does the history for me. Thanks for the feedback so far

Celebs would have gone with Will, Bell the cricketer and Nigel Kennedy.  Lions is still used by some of us so not defunct,

Hope the dross served up hasn't put you off the Villa.

Not at all. You’re clearly a passionate fanbase who rightly wants their club back at the very top. There have been some questionable comments on here, but some very fair ones as well. In terms of the football, I honestly don’t think the first half was that bad, you kept the ball well and you seemed to have West Ham stifled. Although, what I will say is there seems to be lack of understanding between Coutinho and Ings/Watkins… or in that game at least. So many times Coutinho got the ball and didn’t really know where the striker was going to be. In the second half, I think Benrahma changed the game, he offered an outlet out wide. I found it strange that with 2 minutes to go, Villa decided to pass it around at the back instead of lumping forward. All in all, I think you have the right players, but I think someone needs to work out a system that works for them. Hope you enjoyed the blog anyway
