I don’t want to see Ings and Watkins huffing and puffing together up front ever again. We need to get Coutinho outside one central striker with Bailey the other side. Buendia simply has to start in an advanced midfield role.

Replace Cash with KKH leave Mings out.  Play one striker and we might be onto something.

Aye.

Bit harsh, Cash was one of our best players last season. KKH certainly useful to have as a back up though.
Cash wasnt one of our best players last season IMO

Hope Gerrard has learnt something. Buendia needs to play, has a bit of aggression and bite and can pick a killer pass, despite giving it away a bit cheaply sometimes. Although I expect to see him on the bench behind Coutinho regardless.

Archer did a wonderful job on d Gea on the late goal as he did in a corner i saw  before in the game

I noticed that as well.

We can’t play 2 upfront so I think that’s been put to bed. Bailey very promising, I really hope this is the start of something big for him. Sky won’t be happy!

We were really good in the second half - do you think we could have a front 3 of Bailey Phil and Emi

Thought Sanson look good - and seemed bulked out a bit?

It strange - still don’t know what our best line up is

Buendia, Bailey and Chambers should start.

I really like Callum Chambers.  Smart footballer and I wouldn't mind seeing him and Diego start the season together, depending on the left/right balance.  I still think we need a midfield enforcer and a striker who is more of a focal point.  Good result as it shuts the Sky wankfest up.

On seeing that we have a better squad than ManU. Picking the First 11 is going to be tricky. Keeping the squad happy is too.

In justification of the two up front, everybody wants Archer involved and we need Ings and Watkins up to fitness, too. The only way to do that is to play two up front at times.

So, I'm hoping, two up front is just a way of keeping our strikers involved and getting them up to fitness in pre-season.

We better not be daft enough to persevere with it in proper games.

If we can bring in another defensive midfielder, I agree totally with this.  We can still push the full backs forward then too.

If we ignore the shitshow of the first half (which was due to formation imo) the only real negative for me is the strikers. Watkins, Ings and Archer, really struggled in that game.
