Decent explanation of what the argument was about in The Athletic. Surprisingly it doesn't seem to be paywalled, or, at least, it wasn't for me. The article is from before we reached agreement. Presumably Villa are happy getting him at a low fee, though perhaps not as low as it might have been if we had won in court, and they're happy to avoid setting a precedent that could avoid more young players getting poached at low fees by Sassenach teams.
