That must be close to being the most boring fixture that the FA Cup can throw up.  AND IT'S LIVE.

Has there ever been a more predictable choice of match for TV coverage?  Who in their right mind wants to watch those arseholes steamroller one of the most pointless, nondescript clubs in the country.

I'd rather watch Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth.

I can't recall the last time Man Utd were not televised live in the FA Cup, irrespective of the opponents, home or away.

It's an obvious choice for broadcasters, as it will mean more viewers.

Isn’t it something ludicrous like 50 odd cup games in a row involving manure have been shown live.

It was the year they opted out.

Championship seems even closer than normal.

Twelve points separating second from third, then eight points separating third and sixteenth.

Obviously thrilled that it's nothing to do with us anymore but it's a hell of a league.

Always had a soft spot for Preston.  Great rivals with us in the 1880s and 1890s, and until Spurs did the double in 1961, they and us were the only teams do have done the double.  It's good that they still play at Deepdale, a ground I've been to just the two times, circa 1969 and 1970.  And it's one of only three football grounds my old mom ever went to, sadly the game when David Rudge broke his leg.

Was just saying to my other half how it would be great to have Preston in the top division. Mind-boggling, really, how resistant they are to promotion.
