I don't understand why people wear watches when phones tell you the time.
Watches aren't addictive (only a reason if you haven't succumbed like 90-odd% of the adult population), are lighter and are less prone to damage.

I was always happy with a clock radio.  Looked massive on my wrist mind.

Yeah, I've known lots of people with a fondness for addictive things down the years, and the watch people spend way more* than the caners.

*Yes, I know there's a counter-argument that the watch people's spend retains some value. In money, if not in vibes.

Hot Lips and James Collins Jr both start in the upcoming televised game between Newport County and Derby. Villa loanee Hayden Lindley is on the Newport bench.

I managed to kick the golf one when I started working outside of my home town in 1992. Before that, it was easy to finish school/work and go play nine holes. Only played a handful of times since.

Blame lockdown for be developing a liking for jazz. However, Iím still only on the gateway drug of Miles Davisí electric period. Nothing really Class A as yet

I'd forgotten Russian football existed but Zenit v Sparta looked interesting.

I know it is wrong but at least it was a proper kick off rather than the cheating fuckers who barely touch each others forehead then go down poleaxed (yes we are looking at you, you cheating bellend Mitrovic)

In Gaelic football it's referred to as a shemozzle which sounds much more pleasant than brawl.

Saw a great shemozzle at Glebe Farm years ago. Both teams and half the spectstors giving it everything, with the referee and a couple of attending Catholic priests trying and failing to calm things down.

In the end the ref gave a long loud blast on his whistle, announced that the match was abandoned and walked off, leaving the fun and games to carry on without him.
