BBC online has 3,107 as the nose attendance. Surely a typo. Surely?

The Newcastle result is depressing look into the future of the premier league.

Fucking hell. Watching the likes of Newcastle play really lovely football and score goals freely, let alone Arsenal and what they’ve become is so depressing given where we are.

And the talk is now of a Big Seven. Yes it's hyperbolic nonsense and Newcastle have always been media darlings, but that should be us where they are.

Yet again, we have done the hard work and then failed miserably to walk through the door with a couple of wrong turns. Newcastle are Chelsea, are Man City.... the twists that others have systematically passed us on our way. The new "sell to buy" mantra suggests a settling for mid table ways.

Wrecsam 7 Barnet 5.

Here's one for the statos, when was the last time 12 goals were scored in a match from the top 5 English leagues?

Not sure in the "English" leagues, but can remember a six-all draw between Motherwell and Hibs about ten years ago in Scotland. Wrexham had a 6-5 win last year, before losing 5-4 in the playoffs, so they have previous.

Some nice stuff being played in Brighton - Spurs

To think, not that long ago spurs were in our peer group. They’re now absolutely light years ahead of us in every single way.

These days we look behind Brighton, let alone Spurs.

We grind out everything. According to Gerrard he changed because we played too openly and we’re beaten. We played too open and we’re still fucking shit in attack. Now we are boring and try to win 1-0.

Brighton? You and your crazy, lofty ideas! We are four points adrift of Bournemouth. Fucking Bournemouth.

Watched the first half of Borussia Dortmund v Bayern. Very disappointing stuff, so much so that I have switched to watching the second half of Brighton v Spurs.

Rodgers will be sniffing round Villa Park when Gerrard gets the sack
