Maybe he’s just a “big game” player.
But fair play he was excellent last night.

I'm beginning to wonder if he has a twin brother.

Biggest enigma at the club for a long time. Capable of brick walling Arsenal, Man City and Bayern but plays like a clown against Ipswich. I think he's slightly mad too.

I think the games where we're under the cosh suit him and Konsa, as they have to just concentrate on the defensive side of things and not worry too much about the more expansive stuff.

It’s also why it’s not as simple as just replicating the defensive quality shown last night in our league games. In most of those we’re going to need to make the running, which means creating more space. We’ve just got to find a better balance so we’re not so open defensively, but also maintain our attacking threat.

He's not the only one missing Kamara, when he plays the full back can push on, BK drops in, gets on the ball so Diego isn't trying to make passes that stretch his abilities.

Fair play that was some performance. In Football Manager terms he's got Consistency - 5, Big Games - 20

Showed good physicality today. Højlund didn't stand a chance against him
There was a situation in first half where DC brushes Højlund to one side. Just can't be out muscled and Man U striker was moaning he was fouled.
Certainly far fairer than Maguire forearm smash on Watkins.
And was a good example of playing to Carlos strength

He also did couple of decent switch cross field and direct passes that got up field and thought he was generally decent again today when he came on

Diego was good today after replacing Ezri. Defence was largely untroubled. He easily swatted Hojlund aside - how much did Manure waste on him? Two appearances and 2 clean sheets.

I think the Guardian described him as ushering Hojlund  away like a nightclub bouncer😊

he'll do a Duran, score late on to win the game, probably with a bullet header, and then tell the fans he'd staying and not to worry.
