The players’ reaction after the game - including trolling Paulinha on social media - makes me think it could be bad.
What’s been said by players ?

Metaphorically speaking yes.

At best I think it will be weeks, but I fear it will be more. Watkins, probably the mildest mannered guy in the whole league, kicked out at Palhinha during the game & wound him up celebrating at the end.

Four players posted pictures of them skinning paulinha. Could be a coincidence.

if injured the players seem to be united and may use it as extra motivation anyway. It’d also be a great opportunity for Bogarde too.

…silver linings and all that.

He had the scan yesterday.

Unai said after the match he hoped it was a small injury.

I don’t think we will find out until Friday’s press conference and even then the language will be guarded.

What I really really don’t want to see is any sort of statement on Pravda. That’s what’s reserved for really bad ones.

Yep, my guess would be if the scan was yesterday and it was 'bad' news, it would have leaked by now. It would be headline-making, and someone would want (pay for?) the scoop.  But I suspect the fact that we still haven't heard anything might be that it's not as bad as first thought.

Yes, these ARE straws that I'm grasping at, why do you ask?

I’d say if it’s bad news, the wait to hear will be longer, especially if we need to replace him for months on end with somebody not already in the squad.

I’d say if it’s bad news we’re more likely to hear quicker. The longer it goes the better the chance it’s either nothing or something short-term. That’d be my interpretation anyway.
