How Emi M didn't get a yellow for time-wasting has to be one of the great unsolved mysteries of the universe. He was totally winding up the Burnley players and fans for the entire game - loved it !

Well he didn't keep a clean sheet so can't be too pleased with himself!
Be doing the same Tuesday as long as we hold out.
One day he'll get set off for two yellow cards but till then will have to accept it's part of his game as I'm not a fan and neither is anyone when on receiving end so those who moan about any opposition time wasters have no grounds for complaint.
He's a great goalie and chap and in right circumstances a bit of delaying but it gets all a bit too much.
Second half dying embers is fine but Martinez is something else with all this malarkey.
Sean Dyche would have been passing comment I'm sure if he was still there.
Anyway it is how it is.

Great result from the boys! Well done Villa.
It was lovely to see fringe players in recent games (like Buendia and Ings)start and show what they can do.
Ollie into double figures again in the pl in what’s been a meh season. This guy should be a permanent figure in our team in the coming seasons.
Pity about not keeping the clean sheet at the end.
We need to use the momentum of 7 points in the last 3 games going into our midweek game vs redscouse. No gimme game please!

I agree fully (apart from the likelihood of getting two yellows and a red for it. I wonder if a player has been ever sent off for repeated time-wasting) and think that people were ganging-up on you about it in the match thread unnecessarily. We're Villa so we enjoy one of our players doing it and getting away with it. If it's done against us we'd be spitting feathers.

Perhaps our best performance of the season. We we're solid throughout the team. McGinn and Luiz look better pushed further forward; Ollie and Ings proving they can play together again; Dinge had a good game; the subs played well; and Martinez is the best wind up goalie with had since Budgie. Top half finish and it'll be another season of (slight) progress.

I have to say I was surprised with the result as didn't see that win coming based on Burnley form and stakes .
Credit though the team and coaching staff to out together a system and performance to comfortably win.
Of course quality told and that showed
It also shows Buendia is one to have in the outset very much so.
Great win and it was good that I was fooled into thinking be a tepid effort by the boys when very much wasn't.

Just got back from Turf Moor.
Good performance all round, I reckon. No one played poorly, and Buendia, Cash, Digne and Chambers played well. The pass from Buendia to Ings for the first goal was sublime.
I thought Mings again dominated in defence in the way that he wasn't doing earlier this season, and Konsa and he dealt well with the oversized Burnley strikers.
Tremendous away support in the Lancashire sunshine.
