Norwich (H) W
Burnley (A) L
Liverpool (H) L
Crystal Palace (H) D
Burnley (H) D
Manchester City (A) L

Shit, but it'll be enough. Onwards and Upwards next season (maybe :-))

We might drop some points against the top two. I see no reason why we won't win the rest. With a bit of luck that'll be enough to get us up to 11th again.

Because we have mostly been playing very poorly for several weeks now?

We've spluttered a fair bit, but we were our own worst enemies against spuds, and we showed some renewed resilience against Lesta. Those and the cameos from Buendia and Iroegbunam leave me, as ever, optimistic.

We should get at least 9. I reckon it will be 7 points.

Compare our second half of the season to Newcastle's.

Both with new managers.
Both have some new signings.
How the new manager has blended the existing squad and the new signings has been very different.

Momentum into next year will be very different too.

Like last season, we have squandered a decent position in the second half of the season.

Don't fear. Newcastle have a tricky run-in, and will possibly lose five games or so. Momentum quashed, they can get back in their box and keep paying Johnjoe Shelvey for another year.

Either 4 draws and the 2 obvious defeats, or:

Beat Norwich, 1 point from 6 vs Burnley (Lose away, draw at home), lose to Palace, lose vs the top two.

Either way a miserable 4 points from 18.

Not at Gerrard's door this season, will be next.

Norwich (H) D - Deano will want to prove a point, and I reckon he could get one;
Burnley (A) L - we hardly ever win there, and they've got something to play for;
Liverpool (H) W -  Shock win! There, I've said it. Coutinho to score against his old club;
Palace (H) D - An anticlimactic 0-0 draw after the excitement of the win against Liverpool;
Burnley (H) D - just to make us safe, and to give them a chance of survival on the last day of the season;
Man City (L) Probably! Our former captain to look glum on SKY Super Duper Sunday as Liverpool still win the title on goal difference despite losing to Chelsea in the Cup Final.

Yeah, and let's ignore the fact that we lost 7 of our opening 11 games?

Pretty much all of us have said a win against Norwich. Oh blimey.  Let's hope we don't see the return of benevolent Villa.
