I know it's only the highlights, but in the videos of the last couple of U23 games he's looked really good.  Like a quicker version of what Callum O'Hare looked like around the same age.  Quick feet, good control, an eye for a pass.

We've been weak against Leeds for far too long but I sincerely hope that Gerrard has changed all that.  I'm from Yorkshire originally  and still hated Leeds - admired their football but not their nasty streak under Revie.  Time for us to set things right...............but I can't help feeling a little nervous!

As an aside my first game at Villa Park was as a Halifax Town supporter when both teams were in Divison 3.  The game finished 1 - 1 with Villa and Fulham being promoted and Halifax finishing third amd missing out.  It was good preparation for supporting Aston Villa!

We missed out as well. We finished fourth but champions the following year.

Ah thanks Nick.  Years of supporting Halifax and Villa has addled my memory.  I remember being Impressed with the 33000 crowd at Villa Park as the Shay didn't draw anywhere near as many fans - the crowd earlier that season when Town beat Villa was 5500
