Agreed. Try a Phelps from Hayle or Malcolm Barnecutts from the Wadebridge/Padstow area.

More of a traditional pie man versus pastie. A good steak and kidney, well stocked with meat, where the gravy is oozes out, roast spuds on the side. Delightful.

As an aside, I've always thought Bedfordshire Clangers sounded nice.

Lived in Bedford for a while. Had a clanger. Didn't have a second one.
