Didier Deschamps has named 26 players who will represent Les Bleus in USA, Canada and Mexico in the summer.

And the 32-year-old is one of nine defenders in the France squad, who will be looking to back up consecutive appearances in the final, after losing on penalties to Argentina in 2022.

The French outfit will compete in Group I, opening their campaign against Senegal on Tuesday, June 16, before taking on Iraq and Norway.

I love that he loves playing for us. He’s still playing at such a high level. Gerrard was a bell end on many levels but the acquisitions of Kamara and Digne have been very good signings.
