Is Philippe in Brazilian squad for the current round of qualifiers?

Yes, the coach reckons he's important and getting back to his best. Was due to fly into Quito from Madrid with the other European based players.

I see he was subbed after 32 minutes can't see any reports why, was it a reshuffle after the goalie was sent off?

The Little Magician scores a belter against Paraguay in the Workd Cup qualifier. 25 yards out, top corner.

Anyone else starting to wish the clause was an obligation to buy?  Donít want to lose him now. 🤣

That is genius. I hope we get to see some of this magic before the seasons out.

Yep but it was a catch22 really. We could have been obligated to buy a crocked duffer. Just got to hope he's enjoying it here, and the likes of PSG don't decide they want him.

What does the option to buy actually mean? Do we get first dibs or can anyone come in and gazump us?

Guess it depends on the wording of the deal, but I'd assumed it pretty much worked like it does on Football Manager - until the end of his loan deal, we can bid £33m and they have to accept it. They can't sell him, or indeed accept offers for him, in that time because he's contracted to us. After the end of the loan, if we've not bought him then he goes back to Barcelona, they can do what they wish with him and aren't under any obligation to sell him to us.

It will depend on Coutinho himself too.  If he doesnít settle or there is a perceived better suitor (who will pay the fee Barcelona want) he might choose not to sign a permanent deal with Villa.
