The commentary on Prime is just awful, Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend are going to need some emergency tissues.  The way they talk about Citeh is sickening.
I'm watching on Prime! No commentary selected. I can see what's happening, don't need any one to tell me what is happening.

That was as bad and weak a performance as Dean at his worse this season

We can’t pass a fucking ball, getting mixed up between ourselves

Players look unfit, big signings go missing

Don’t get me wrong Man City are a lot better than us - it’s the performance not the scoreline

On the positive if we turn this round I’ll move from the SG cease a mistake camp into the let’s give him a chance call 😂😂

Well I hope they get a bit of rocket. We’re too bloody nice and not at all ruthless. Bailey is not up to it so he holds his leg. Becoming a habit when the going gets tough.

That’s unfair - there’s no reason to suggest he’s not injured.

I hope you are right, but bloody hell something is not right with him. If it is in an injury we've taken a huge gamble buying someone with an injury like he has had all season.

Terrible half, haven’t got anywhere near them. Buendia and Bailey….what a colossal waste of money.

I thought we did ok which seems a bit of a strange thing to say being 2-0 down at home. Defence/GK pretty good and organised for the most part, one fuck up trying to play out of defence and lost Silva for the second but what a finish, not many would have punished us so effortlessly. The first was a bit of a jammy punt which went through and found the corner. Midfield worked hard, a few stray passes and against this standard of opposition that dominate centre mid we were all calling for in the summer would help a lot. Forwards were clever at times and linked up occasionally but looked as though they need a bit more time to click properly. Worked pretty hard though as well. Shame a slightly under strength Man City team played so well really, we’re still not ready to compete with teams like this when they’re on song

And what makes it worse is being lectured by some former girl guide league footballer on where we are going wrong!

As a seasoned tactician I'd get Davis up with Watkins and try to play over the press.

I'd have considered him coming on instead of Young with instruction to just put himself about and bully Ake.

As ever at times like these right now, I wonder why people get so up in arms (rightly) about Newcastle's new owners but largely laugh along with this, a vile, corrupt, despotic petrostate buying the league.

Yup. And all the while throughout this game, the best player Villa have produced in decades is on the bench for them. It isn't a competition, it's all about forming a monopoly.

What is this Youngs Disease that seems to spread to everyone on a Villa bench?

I want answers regarding Bailey.

He has no issues putting in a shift for Jamaica and we can't even keep him fit for 30 minutes at a time.

His conditioning is nowhere near good enough to play in the EPL. Always going to be prone to injuries as a result. I'd be content to give him the odd cameo off the bench until he properly gets fit.

I’m just hoping the new manager is looking at this and thinking we need to spend a lot on ball possession midfielders.

Well it can’t be much worse than that. So hopefully a better account of ourselves in the second half.

Midfield is killing us, they’re doing nothing.
