Yep 1-1 I reckon
I remember going down on the train to see us lose 1-0 to a late goal in 1990. The journey was never ending, but I think it might have been Dwight Yorke’s debut after he came on as a sub.
There was a good day down there a couple of years later, we went down to witness Dalians goal against Wimbledon!

Yes - lost 1-0 to an early goal from Garry Thompson. My friend and I had quite a long conversation with Yorke outside afterwards, and I was also on the 9 o'clock news that night as it was the 'featured' game on the news. When they showed the outside of the grand with fans arriving I was about 10 yards from the camera, and it stayed on me for several seconds. At work on the Monday, people kept coming up to me saying, 'Was that you I saw on the news on Saturday night?' Pity I can't find a video of it.....

Yes Thompson and I think you’re right it was early on and not much happened after. Still, as a 14 year old with only a few away games under my belt it was like a big adventure:-)

liked the pic of Yeti from the Firm DW. When they show footage of SP in the film, they must have been playing us, because all you can hear is ‘Villa, Villa, Villa’

It was the Palace v Villa game at the end of the 87-88 promotion season Rob. Last minute equaliser from Wright I think after Platt had put us ahead. Kicked off at the final whistle, notably with some Villa fans in the seats above the Palace fans in the Waite stand. Possibly as a tribute to the film!
