In midfield West Ham have two excellent defensive midfielders.

We don't have any at the club, let alone on the pitch today - something plenty of people here were pointing out during the last transfer window.

For years it was us being a striker short, then Bruce left us a defender short, then we came up to the premier-league a striker short, and last year we were a striker short. Now we are a CDM short.

We don't do ourselves any favours.

Not sure who it was on five live, but they said Buendia fshould be in the number ten role, that he's not happy on the right.

Who is the #10 right now?

That’s the real question.

Big 45 for dean.

Don’t understand why we brought on Ashley young - should have gone for Chuck I reckon.

Don’t see what Ashley young adds.

Feels like it’s one of those games at the end of a tenure - where everything go wrong and compounds the issues around there

Shit or bust for Dean now.

When AEG and Davis are only realistic sub options left to change the game I think it's s*** terrority.

Lose to Southampton and I think he's done for.
For Christ sake  we haven’t lost this game yet!! The negativity on this thread is unbelievable

Everything is fine.  We are playing really well.  West Ham are terrible.  Our set pieces are a credit to the club.  Better?

Could do without Martinez flying around the world so often. Obviously affecting his performances. Unfortunate to end up with this midfield 3.

We look like we can concede at any moment,  midfield shape is an alien concept to us and there is little cutting edge up top.  Apart from that, we're grand.

That said, I don't think West Ham are all that.

We can still get a draw at least out of this one.

Only reason West Ham are leading though are from two lucky strikes.
If anything we've been better team a seen nothing of this so called form player Antonio and Benrahma, Bowen.

We did well and playing OK. Making some changes and offering some attack
So nothing to bad outside of score.
Can turn this around with right play.

Up the Villa.

Just like the football on the pitch then. Yay, we are losing 1-2 and playing like a bag of tethered rabbits.....We look like shit and were behind after 7 mins then again 4 mins after equalising. But I will remain positive.....

Probably the best summary. We were poor for first half hour and then out of nowhere did a nice move that got us to 1-1.

I'd be tempted to get AEG on just to stretch them a bit more.
