I'm calling it now. Get rid of McPhee.
You can’t, I called it few posts back

Christ. Are we saying Danny Murphy called it correct. If so, that’s it, I’m giving up watching football.

Buendia is showing flashes of quality. Hopefully he or Bailey can get us back into it. Be nice if we could have a bit of luck and West Ham could stop scoring screamers.

Bailey does not look right but our midfield is the problem.
Agree.
Midfield is an issue unfortunately no one to retain possession

Honestly deans gonna blame injuries but sorry im.not having that. The menatlity is so fragile. They get no confidence of scoring they go back like cowards and pettrified.

I dont want that identity for my club

Not sure who it was on five live, but they said Buendia fshould be in the number ten role, that he's not happy on the right.

Who is the #10 right now?

That’s the real question.

In midfield West Ham have two excellent defensive midfielders.

We don't have any at the club, let alone on the pitch today - something plenty of people here were pointing out during the last transfer window.

Nakamba just runs back into the penalty area when he should be closing down Rice.
Martinez should be stopping that though.

Hause has defended well.
Everything falls apart with Targett.
Marv has done okay.
Cashley is pretty mediocre.
Confidence - shot; all round.

Get Buendia on the ball more.

Fuck off. What is wrong with Martinez?
28 hours in an aeroplane

I'm not happy with him for either goal...should be saving both

Hause has done ok to be fair...but we look really poor. Maybe unsurprising but our midfield three are a complete mess. Neither pressing West Ham nor protecting our defence to any degree. Cash our best so far and we did create a fine goal. But this is a cruise for West Ham.

I like Hause for his attitude and how he often comes away from a challenge with the ball at his feet. His passing is playground level.

Agreed, his foot is like a 50 pence piece on the ball..but far from our worst problem

Nakamba has the odd good appearance for us but in truth to play consistently at this level you have to be miles better on the ball than he is

Assist aside, Buendia has been dreadful. McGinn anonymous, Bailey offering zilch

I wonder is it worth trying something completely different like getting Archer or Davis or both on at half time and bypassing midfield

Maybe we should think about not playing Martinez while he’s travelling back and fourth to Argentina? It must be effecting his game.

Shit or bust for Dean now.

When AEG and Davis are only realistic sub options left to change the game I think it's s*** terrority.

Lose to Southampton and I think he's done for.
For Christ sake  we haven’t lost this game yet!! The negativity on this thread is unbelievable

Deciding not to bring in a central midfielder is beginning to rival Steve Bruce's "we don't need a centre half, we've got Jedinak" in the annals of Villa managerial stupidity.

Even though everyone said he'd play 90% of his time at Norwich on the right? I mean he set the goal up from that position.

Don't really like players been given endless excuses, he cost 30m + after all.

Would prefer Bailey on the right though, not convinced he's as effective the other side. If we're down 2-1 with 15 left we'll probably put AEG on for Nakamba so Buendia would go 10 then.

Super lazy defending for both goals.  Lack of physicality all over the pitch apart from Hause.  Lack of a DCM will cost Smith his job, Nakamba doing ok, but ok isn't enough.  Sanson must be absolutely shit for him not to get into this team.
