We will lose. It will be miserable.

This is why the only advantage of Sunday night matches is that they ruin less of your weekend.

Interesting point. I am going to West Ham and am already dreading the compound depression of Sunday night plus Villa defeat for my journey home.

No. Not Young.
Not Targett  I can't take his weak attacking displays like Neil Taylor tribute act
Or his own goals.

You seem quite desperate for a new player to moan at now that Grealish has left.

Not really I'm just yet again  pointing out deficiencies of players that people refuse to see, or acknowledge .  Many seem preoccupied with lambasting Mings at the moment

Felt Targett has been unfit , been poor in attacking play as a wing back as failed nunerous times when high up the pitch and has let us down defensively several times yet Mings seems to be someone identified which is more obvious and Targett defects has gone unnoticed unless I flag it up

I think many would agree he has been simpler to Neil Taylor when attempting to attack so nothing unfair there actually Risso Rosco

Targett attacks better when at LB instead of LWB, he was better going forward than Cash last season and is a much better defender. LWB doesn't suit him at all, that's the problem and it won't be fixed by putting Young out there. Now that our genuine wide players are back Smith needs to start using them.

This game is a tough one to call. Both Villa and Arsenal are capable of putting in top six performances one week and bottom six performances the next week.

You all know we'll start with 5 at the back...
this is my concern.

I kind of see what Footy is saying but don’t agree entirely. I don’t think Targett is in the same form as last season, I don’t think the formation particularly suits him as he’s too slow if caught out of position, and I don’t think he looks as fit as he did last season.

Anyways, it’s important that we stop the rot so I’ll be happy with a point this evening. I do worry for DS if we don’t pick up any points tonight or against West Ham.

Targett is never a wing-back. It's that simple. We need to go back to 433.

Targett also hasn't got acres of space to play in that the rat used to create for him.

I hoping for a win as I do for most games, but I think it be 2 all. Both teams have good spells and shocking ones too.

Yes this is one of the most unpredictable results of the season. Two teams that can be anything or nothing on their day. Could be 3 0 either way or 2 2.

I a going 3 2 to the Arse given they did not win v Palace and will want to bounce back.

We will play five at the back, none of our "recovered" players will start, Smith-Rowe will score and celebrate by kissing the badge, and we will lose.

Targett is never a wing-back. It's that simple. We need to go back to 433.

Targett isn’t a wing back, Cash isn’t a wing back, the central defenders don’t know what they’re doing in a three and Ings and Watkins can’t play together as pairing. Other than that the formation has been a rip-roaring success.

I would love to rip that summarisation to pieces but sadly I have to agree. Although I still hold out some hope for the Ings and Watkins partnership as they are both quality goalscorers.
