Watford I think won’t be as challenging as they are coming back up and one of many games. So I still think if we do our jobs professionally we will win

Aston Villa will be keen to scale even greater heights this season and a trip to Watford could allow an easy road towards doing exactly that. Dean Smith’s rock-solid defence will be on hand to shut down attacking threats as per usual but with Jack Grealish gone, Leon Bailey isolating, Douglas Luiz not back from Olympic duty and Emi Buendía and Ollie Watkins doubtful, Villa look more than a little threadbare across the rest of the pitch. The evergreen but non-threatening Ashley Young’s presence on the wing says it all regarding what might prove a sluggish start at Vicarage Road.

It's quite exciting really, it's going to be a very different feeling Villa team than walked onto the pitch against Spurs and Chelsea.  Our big advantage being that we have the stability of an established back five that performed superbly for large amounts of last season.  Going forward I don't think that anybody knows what to expect... I'm keen for 3pm.

Brentford looked more match fit last night and obviously didn't have all the players coming back from the Euro's (well 4 of them) and the injuries like arsenal. Seeing we're putting out a bit of a scratch side as well, gotta hope we're up for it because Watford will be first game back.
