He's had one good season in his four with us.

Not sure why people always say this when he clearly had two good seasons. He was involved in about half of all our good moments in 2022/23 when we went from Gerrard-ball to Europe. Weird revisionism.

Indeed.

Still think the best thing for all parties would have been to cash-in in summer 2024 when his stock was highest though.

The same "Doug was shit in his last half season and when he came back". Fcuk me, it's all so black and white.

Yeah, the whole thing is an exercise in performative anger. As if showing completely over the top hatred of players for no reason proves what great fans they are.

Indeed…..he had a very good period that coincided with his best mate being at the club and them alternating with their time on the pitch.

Before Diaby, Bailey was sporadic.
During Diaby, Bailey was very decent
After Diaby, Bailey has been utter shit.

I had no idea they were mates?

I'm hoping this is exactly what are doing with Rogers.

Frusting player. Agree with the 2 good seasons, and seems a likeable guy. Good luck to him, hope he does well.

I think some of the vitriol can be explained in that we have always liked and admired players who ‘put a shift in’, in the games when Bailey wasn’t playing well, and there were a few to pick from, there were times when he appeared to be a lot more focussed on his last mistake then in tracking back to recover the ball. Shame really as I was very excited when he signed, thought we might have a worldbeater after that early Everton game and of course for a couple of seasons he was as good as we’ve seen in 20 years.

He was very nice to my kids when they bumped into him so I hope he’s happy wherever he goes.

I like him, not as a player these days but he's a likeable fellow. I wish him well if he leaves and we'll have plenty of fond memories.

Bailey only ever contributed going forward.

When he was doing so, he was great and we were prepared to overlook his failure to track back and help Matty Cash out.

But when he stopped/wasn't able to do anything in the opposition half, he became a liability and sadly that's how he's become to be seen.

Still, he helped us cement our place at the top of the Prem and won a trophy with us too.

So, thanks for the (good) memories Leon and best of luck wherever you end up.

I like Leon Bailey, he's nice guy. He did well for us then his confidence went a bit. Emery has a very strict way of playing and I'm just not sure he fits that model of discipline that's required.

All the best to him, wherever he goes.

His father won’t be happy with mentions of Hull.

I think Bailey had the discipline, as he stuck tight to his role out on the right, he just ran out out of gas.
