Mine too. But, as you say, it could pretty much have been anybody in claret and blue.

He looked so delighted in his interview, he was quite emotional.  Comfortably MOTM in a game full of superb performances.  Fantastic stuff.

I absolutely adore his attitude... 👌👍

That article someone posted from The Athletic says they spoke to his stepdad after the game and he said Leon really feeds off being loved. Given the reaction he was getting for a little while it must be a massive relief to him to have turned things around again.

I was wondering if that is the same "dad" who was posting stuff about him and seemingly representing him just after he signed.

I'm sure the article said stepdad but now I think of it I'm sure I read about Bailey being adopted by a football coach.... I'm not sure who they were talking to, to be honest, but I think the idea he responds well to being "loved" by the fans is correct.

I thought MOTM was McGinn, but just as happy to give it to Leon.
McGinn beasted their midfield and could easily have won motm but I was blown away by Bailey and i'm thrilled for him to get it. He just glided across the pitch and the speed of his footwork was just dazzling. A mesmerising and memorable performance.

It's the same guy (Craig Butler), adopted him from a ghetto so he could join his football academy. The story is both great and a bit fucked-up, and how you see Butler a sa person can go pretty wildly from 1 extreme to the other. Personally I think his heart is in the right place.

Unai Emery on Leon Bailey: "He was tired, completely tired! Hopefully he's not injured but I don't know exactly."

Let’s hope he’s just fatigued. He’s been terrific.

Another assist , what a superb goal it was , I can't get over how transformed Bailey is ! He's playing better than Grealish did for us which I never thought I'd say , his footwork is mesmerising and sits defenders down.

Here for a check up on Bailey. Hopefully the substitution was a precaution.

Yes, hoping it will be minor. He got stuck in for a challenge, which he won, and he was determined, but perhaps that was where he took a knock.
All of those international games, and the four in ten days, increases chance of injuries and suspensions, requiring a quality squad.
It was fantastic to be able to bring Diaby in at halftime today.
Leon's pass for the goal was superb. Excellent wing play bamboozled the Arsenal defence.

Yes, I hope that's the case too.
